The Raptors -- Toronto’s
basketball team -- in its 24-year existence, won the first NBA (National
Basketball Association) championship yesterday defeating California’s Golden
State Warriors by 114 – 110 points. The Raptors were led by the head coach Nick
Nurse.
Raptors’ Kawhi Leonard
received the NBA honour of being named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) as Kareem
Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James had received the same title in the past.
