Joe R. Biden Becomes the 46th President of the United States

Joe R. Biden, former Vice President of Barack Obama and a democrat, has been sworn in as the 46th President of the United States today in a temp-down inauguration ceremony on the Capitol venue during this COVID-19 lockdown situation and unprecedented security precaution after January 6 riots there. 

Kamala Harris, U.S.'s first female, black, and South Asian has also been sworn in as Joe Biden's Vice President. This is the first time any woman could climb such high a position in the United States.

In his inaugural speech, Biden emphasized the unity, love, and cooperation among the Americans that was torn to pieces during President Donald Trump's divisive presidentship from 2016 to 2020. 

President Donald Trump, with his usual hate and distrust of Joe Biden, fled to his Florida's Mar a Largo residence and golf club in the morning of this inauguration in Washington, D.C. He has proven his unworthiness of presidentship for the last time. All other ex-Presidents, except Jimmy Carter who has health issues, attended the inauguration ceremony today. 

On November 2, 2020, one day before the U.S. presidential election, we had made a common-sense prediction that Joe R. Biden would win the presidency and that has come to be true after much rancour, hatred, doubt, and blame of rigged election results, the sack of the Capitol building, and the second impeachment of President Trump.

Donald Trump: The Unworthy President of the United States



He is the instigator of chaos and confusion 

and the wrecker of U.S. democracy

Thousands of President Donald Trump's supporters, mostly white, from all over the U.S. descended on Washington, D.C., yesterday and protested against the so-called "rigged election" that resulted in the Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden the winner. Their intention was to force Vice President Mike Pence and the Congress to cancel the confirmation of electoral college votes and declare the losing Republican candidate, President Trump, the winner.

At one time, a mob of hundreds breached the barricades and stormed the Capitol (Congress) building, entering and ransacking different rooms. Some people even stole some items from there as souvenirs! Government security personnel, ridiculously inadequate for the situation, miserably failed to contain the insurrection. The crowd descended in Washington, D.C., at the call of President Trump, the instigator of this domestic terrorism and lawlessness. It took police four hours to quell the situation.

During the rioting, four persons died -- one from gunshot and three from their medical conditions. It is interesting to note that only about four dozen protesters, mainly 6:00 p.m. curfew breakers, have been arrested by the police. The question is if the rioters were blacks or browns instead of whites, how would the law enforcement personnel deal with them? With guns and grenades? With hundreds of arrests?   

It has already been proven in the U.S. that President Trump is a compulsive liar and blame shifter. He does not have the capacity to take responsibility for anything. Under his watch, the presidential election was held on November 3. He was fully responsible for this election -- whether the election was free or rigged. If this election was "rigged," it was his fault, because he failed to let it happen. Infantile President Donald Trump behaves as if he lives in another country and he does not have any responsibility for it!

Many in the U.S. and abroad were shocked and perturbed to see such a low-life behaviour of President Donald Trump and some of his party members and associates who incited these minions and goons to undermine democracy in the U.S. -- the first of its kind in the country's history. Former U.S. presidents -- Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama -- condemned President Trump's recent actions. Many foreign leaders also expressed their disappointment with Mr. Trump.

Evangelical Christians, mostly white, are the greater segment of President Donald Trump's political supporters. They consider him as Jesus' anointed person and an 'honest' man who is 'morally upstanding.'  They also consider him as the country's saviour who will install God's law in the country -- forbidding abortion, homosexual marriages, LBGTQ lifestyle, and others. In spite of being a devil incarnate -- he has proven it many times in the last five years through his actions and words -- President Trump still enjoys their relentless support and homage. Now, what happens to this God's chosen person who let the devil win over him?

Joe Biden To Win 2020 U.S. Presidential Election

Our observation and gut feeling makes us fore-believe that Democratic Vice President Joe Biden will win the 2020 American election in spite of the chaotic electioneering in the USA.

Reasons for his win can be summarized as such:

President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, has for the last four years failed to demonstrate a real leadership fit for the U.S. presidency, rather he has proved time and again that instead of being a leader he has been a micro-manager. Micro-managers are persons who suffer from a type of inferiority complex and try to compensate for this lacking with micro-supervision of everything and everybody. 

President Donal Trump has shown such a bullying and street ruffian talk, manner, and behaviour that many are tired of and repelled by him. Some are sick of his dividing attitude rather than a uniting one.

There are Republicans, who supported him before, became victims of Trump's demeaning nicknames and tongue-lashings for even little disagreements and critiques. These disgruntled Republicans, although small in number, will vote for Biden.

Among the Blacks, who were undecided before, tilted toward Joe Biden after the Black Lives Matter movement got thrashed by President Trump. 

Latinos similarly leaned toward Biden as they were blamed for being intruders, murderers, and rapists by the Trump government. Moreover, many Latino children were separated from their accompanying parents entering the U.S. illegally. Years passed but parents of these children are still not being able to be relocated.

The misogynistic language, attitude, and behaviour of Donald Trump alienated many American women of different ethnic backgrounds. In addition, Trump also has a bad reputation for sexually abusing women. He has a bad reputation for not placing women in important positions in his government.

Donald Trump's phony conservativeness also alienated many young people, especially students, who are usually progressive in their outlook. Because of his lip service of this conservativeness, a good number of Evangelical Christians and Roman Catholics are thinking not to support Trump anymore.

President Trump does not have any solid and concerted plan for dealing with the onslaught of the COVID - 19 pandemic. As a result, elderly people have been affected adversely. A good number of elderly persons, who had supported him in the 2016 election, are shifting their allegiance to the Democrats. 

Some people are extremely irritated by the disrespect that is evidenced in Trump's talks and behaviour. He thinks he is the centre of the universe and gives demeaning and insulting nicknames to his opponents and persons not agreeing with him fully. From his childhood, he learned this disrespect from his parents and it will never go away. His dysfunctional family life is a bad example for many, too. 

The presidential election of 2016 and 2020 are completely different. A lot of water has passed in the last four years. Things have changed a lot. The Biden win will be one of these changes.

U.S. President Donald Trump Impeached By The House of Representatives

 Donald Trump, in his third year as the U.S. President, has been impeached in the U.S. House of Representatives on December 18. Next, the impeachment proceedings in the Senate will decide if he can remain in his office as the president. 

 The House of Representatives (having the majority of its members as Democrats) as part of its impeachment proceedings, voted on two charges against the President -- (1) that President Donald Trump abused his power, and (2) that he obstructed Congress by refusing to cooperate with the impeachment inquiry, withholding documentary evidence, and preventing his important aides (assistants) from giving evidence. 

Now, as the second part of the impeachment procedure, the U.S. Senate will have to decide on whether the President should be removed from the power. It is unlikely to happen as the majority of Senate members belong to President Trump's party, the Republican party. The Senate's inquiry is supposed to take place in January of 2020.

 Donald Trump is the third U.S. president to be impeached. The other two were: President Andrew Johnson (a Republican) who was impeached in 1868, and President Bill Clinton (a Democrat) impeached in 1998. Another president, Richard Nixon (a Republican) avoided the most possible impeachment by resigning from his office of the presidency in 1974.

The U.S. presidential election on Nov. 8 brought about a surprise result -- Republican Party candidate Donald Trump won it by electoral college votes rather than people's votes. 

His chaotic personality became most visible in his electioneering rhetoric and behaviour. His sexism, misogyny, xenophobia, irreverence, and racism were a good fodder for the media. These spilled over to a section of the Americans with a similar bent.  As a result, when it became clear that he was the winning candidate, some of these people vent their long-held secret hatred and racist attitude through their hateful remarks, racial slurs, and graffitic vandalism on houses, churches, storefronts, vehicles, and playgrounds of children and adults. Neighbouring Canada was also not immune to this. The Pandora's Box that Donald Trump opened during his election campaign will have  long-lasting results. 

 It is noteworthy that, in 2008, the first Black president Barack Obama's win also had brought about hateful and racist incidents against the blacks in the U.S.A. Those were not as intense and as widespread as this year's.

The U.S. Gets Its Czar, President Donald Trump

The tumultuous and acrimonious U.S. Presidential election campaign culminated in the widely unexpected result, the victory of Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee. He will be the 45th President of the United States after the two-term President Barack Obama. 

 So far Donald Trump received 289 electoral votes as opposed to Democratic Party presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's 218. The CNN termed it as "a stunning repudiation of Washington's political establishment. This also proves that the U.S. is not ready yet to accept a lady president.

Accepting the results, Trump called for unity: "I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all Americans," reports the CNN. 

 Trump expressed his graciousness toward his opponent Hillary Clinton, saying, "We owe (Clinton) a very major debt of gratitude to her for her service to our country. I say it is time for us to come together as one united people." 

Hillary Clinton did not speak publicly on the election night but conceded her defeat to Donald Trump in a private call to him. Later on Wednesday she publicly conceded her defeat. 

The world reaction to the victory of Donald Trump was varied. Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Donald Trump and he "has expressed confidence that the dialogue between and Washington, in keeping with each other's views, meets the interests of both Russia and the U.S.," reports Russia Today. 

 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulating Trump said, "President-elect Trump is a true friend of the State of Israel. I look forward to working with him to advance security, stability and peace in our region."

 U. K. Prime Minister Theresa May said, "We are, and will remain strong and close partners on trade, security and defense."

 Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, " We appreciate the friendship you have articulated towards India during your campaign."

 King Salman of Saudi Arabia said: “We wish your excellency success in your mission to achieve security and stability in the Middle East and worldwide.”

 Chinese President Xi Jinping said: “I place great importance on the China-US relationship, and look forward to working with you to uphold the principles of non-conflict, non-confrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation,”

Mexico's reaction was mixed. It said that it would work with President-elect Donald Trump but would not pay for his U.S.-Mexico border wall.
