The Taste of Lawrence, an
international food and cultural festival, is an annual summer affair in
Toronto, Canada. This three-day festival attracts thousands of people, both
young and old, who can enjoy diverse entertainments, taste multicultural food
items and buy clothes and crafts.
Held on Lawrence Avenue East portion
between Birchmount Road and Warden Avenue, this festival, planned by the then
city councilor Michael Thompson of Scarborough, had its debut in 2004. Since
then it has evolved into a large showpiece.
The Taste of Lawrence festival brings the local
communities together into a unique bond. This year's festival came to an end yesterday, July 8.
