The Cross

Croosh, cross, crux, cruz,
Whatever we call it,
You're the sign of our salvation.
You are present everywhere --
In the East, West, North and South.
We see you in the church,
On the summit of a mountain,
And on a stony island of the sea.
We also view you,
In a variety of ornamentation,
You're present among mankind,
Even though you might be unwanted.
